As an Independent Contractor working, you will be responsible for managing and operating your own commercial vehicle to transport and deliver freight in a safe and timely manner  under our authority. You will be the face of our company, interacting with customers and ensuring their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain your own commercial vehicle (DOT Inspected Hotshot Truck and Trailers, Flatbed Trucks, Straight Trucks or Tractors w/wo Trailers in GOOD condition are REQUIRED.)

• Transport and deliver freight in a safe and timely manner while adhering to the shipping guidelines

• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance

• Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid state-issued Driver's License or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

• Clean driving record

• Adequate physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds if needed

• Organizational skills to plan routes and keep easy-to-read records

• Navigational skills to develop routes and revise them as needed to avoid delays

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and professional CDL Shuttle Driver to move trailers around the yard safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, route management, and vehicle operation, ensuring timely and secure transportation services. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety standards. The Shuttle Driver will play a vital role in supporting our transportation operations across various settings, including warehouse facilities, corporate campuses, or transit routes. 

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate shuttle vehicles adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations

• Transport trailers along designated routes with punctuality and professionalism

• Conduct pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulatory standards

• Adhere to all yard rules and operating standards including safety protocols

• Communicate effectively with yard personnel

• Assist with moving or positioning heavy equipment or cargo as required

• Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle handling

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid state-issued Commercial Driver's License A

• Proven experience in shuttle driving, route driving, or delivery driver roles involving commercial vehicles such as buses, box trucks, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers

• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting

• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles and heavy equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers

• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and commercial vehicle handling

• Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with freight operations is beneficial

• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; excellent route management skills are preferred
